Another candidate...and new glasses!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I changed my mind, and made another candidate for inclusion in my travel wardrobe. This is B5786, View D.


The fabric is a lovely Italian cotton check from Fabric Mart, purchased several years ago. I lengthened the top by 2 1/2 inches to cover my bum, in case I do take it to Iran. I also cut separate front facings on the bias, and did bias sleeve
plackets and pockets.
It's quite comfortable to wear, and goes with my favorite Eileen Fisher slim pants in Ash. These are fabulous to travel with and I'm taking them in black, as well.  The only reason the shirt may not make the cut is if it wrinkles too much. It is 100% cotton, so I'm wearing it often to see how it does.

 I have some new sun readers from EyeBobs, designed by one of my favorite
fashion divas, Iris Apfel (blogged about here).

Still no eye makeup, although my allergies are MUCH better.  I DO love me
some flashy glasses!

 We leave two weeks from tomorrow...I'm off to the studio to make a travel vest (with POCKETS!).

    love the shirt I hope hope the wrinkle judge allows it to travel. Your glasses are such a statement and you definitely look great in them. 2 weeks how exciting!

    Hooray!! New Glasses! two awe inspiring choices there, just beautiful - enjoy :)

    I am loving your new 'option' for two reasons. First, it looks great on you, very cool to wear and nicely showcases your black and silver bangles. Chic! Second, i have some nice linen in a chinoiserie print i'd like to make into a duster - i'm thinking of lengthening Katherine Tilton's new shirt jacket (B5891 view C/D). The hemline is quite similar to yours here, which looks very nice. I'll still make a muslin but i'm much more confident and excited about the outcome after seeing your results!! :)

    Another great look! Love that fabric and those pants look like they'd be perfect to travel in AND they look amazing, too! You know what I think, Margy? I think you're going to spend the entire trip being stopped in the street by women wanting to know where you found your amazing outfits!

    Who knows...maybe a designer label is born? :) You're going to show a whole new style!

    How can I even look at B5786 when you are sporting that eyewear? One scroll down and I thought Iris Apfel, but better because I know you! (kind of anyway)... My heart beats for those Melissa's, but the EyeBob's are right up there. These look absolutely fantastic on you.
