And the TKO of this post? (BTW, TKO in this sense means Technical Knock OFF)
Remember this ?
Well, here's MY version...
minus, for the time being, the lovely red suede obi belt...I actually bought that, but after wearing it on Sunday, I realized it needs to be interfaced so that it doesn't collapse into a narrow crumpled line after 5 minutes' wearing...
I was aided in copying this by the "unstyled" photo
which looked like V8089, an OOP Sandra Betzina pattern:
I'm wearing it here with my first pair of Lynda Maynard pants and a beautiful handmade belt I've had for years.
TTYL...
Wow Margy you could do us all a favour and stop looking so much younger each time we see you - you look amazing in that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Margy! Such a chic and elegant piece! Too bad about the purchased belt - I hope you can fix it! (And if you couldn't sew, how annoying would THAT be?)
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit and you're wearing it well, as always! I'm a big fan of red, black and white, too.
ReplyDeleteYou Look Great!
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit - style at any age. I hope you had a fabulous birthday and look forward to reading your posts for many years yet (I take my fashion inspiration from you!)
ReplyDeleteMarge - what a great jacket - it looks fabulous. I did have that pattern but I'm sure it's been "gifted"! You look great in the outfit.

As usual you look wonderful in this great jacket! You are such an inspiration for us older gals who strive to look good for our age.Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket, but I really like that belt too. I know the red obi is a showstopper, but the one you are wearing is a great alternative.
ReplyDeletevery simple top isn't it but looks so good. Hope you can fix the red belt.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love your inspiration and really love your version!
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit, what a difference styling makes to a simple garment.
ReplyDeleteYou look great. I would have never thought about using that pattern to make the top.
ReplyDeleteFantastic outfit, but I'm a little disappointed that you left off the black stripe down the trouser sides. Your belt is very original.
ReplyDeleteSuper chic as always! Love your TKO!
ReplyDeleteStunning. Fantastic outfit worn to perfection. I know what you mean about those pesky crumply wide belts. Grrr. But that handmade one you're wearing certain holds its own!
